Searching is a 2018 American psychological thriller film directed by Aneesh Chaganty. The film is shot from the point-of-view of smartphones and computer screens. The film is about a father trying to find his missing 16-year-old daughter, and stars John Cho and Debra Messing.



The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21, 2018. It is scheduled to be released on August 24, 2018, by Screen Gems.
