Athens is one of a kind and it’s a perennially popular place to visit.

The city is one of those destinations that features on most people’s bucket lists. Greek myths and remnants from ancient civilisation are good enough reasons to visit, but Athens’ blooming urban life is also a lovely bonus.

When in Athens, of course, you have to see the magnificent Acropolis and Parthenon up close, and don’t forget to visit the ruins of temples and theatres. At the end of a packed day of exploring, make like the locals and relax in one of the many open-air restaurants to watch the world go by.
