Snow Leopard Cubs (Uncia uncia)
There are around 4,000-6,500 snow leopards in the wild today, living in high-elevation, mountainous regions across Asia. Classified as vulnerable by the IUCN, these svelte creatures are known for their gorgeous multicoloured coats which acts as camouflage in their natural habitat. But their beautiful fur also makes them the target of poachers, who kill on average one snow leopard a day, or 220 to 450 per year.
