หลาง หลาง นักเปียนโนชาวจีน และ หลี่ มู่ซี เด็กหญิงวัย 5 ขวบ ได้ร่วมกันบรรเลงเพลงที่มีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับแม่น้ำเหลือง (ฮวงโห) พร้อมกันนั้น นักแสดงรอบตัวหลางและหลี่จำนวน 1,000 คน ได้แปรเป็นคลื่นสีรุ้งและนกพิราบ เพื่อแสดงถึงการก้าวสู่ยุคใหม่ของจีน

Pianists Lang Lang and five-year-old Li Muzi performed a melody from the Yellow River Cantata. Around the pianists a sea of rainbow-coloured luminescent performers swayed in wave-like unison to symbolize the flow of the Yellow River. The illuminated dancers, symbolizing modern-day China, then arranged themselves in the shape of the Dove of Peace, whose wings were then set into motion as the performers moved about.
